Patching
Location: Point Lonsdale, Bellarine Peninsula
Project type: New build, coastal design
A new home designed for a coastal Bellarine site, Patching is a study in restraint and site responsiveness. The design takes its cues from the character of the surrounding landscape — the open skies, the salt air, the unhurried pace of life on the Peninsula — translating those qualities into a home that feels genuinely of its place.
The brief called for a home that lived generously without imposing on its setting. Careful consideration of orientation, outlook and the relationship between internal spaces and the outdoors shaped every decision — from the placement of living areas to the selection of materials that will weather gracefully over time.
