A boutique practice with 20 years of considered design
van_bert Design is a boutique building design studio based on the Bellarine Peninsula, working with clients across Geelong, Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Point Lonsdale, Torquay and the Surf Coast.
With over 20 years of experience in residential building design, we bring considered thinking, creative rigour and genuine care to every project — whether that's a new coastal home designed from the ground up, or a carefully crafted renovation that transforms an existing one.
As a sole-operator studio, every client works directly with the designer from the very first conversation to the final drawing set. Experienced, attentive design from someone who is personally invested in getting it right.

Good design starts with how a home works for the people who live in it — spaces that respond to how you actually spend your time, not just how they photograph. Our aim is to create designs that feel intuitive to live in - spaces that respond to light, movement and daily life.

Sustainability is woven into everything we do — site orientation, passive solar principles, material selection and long-term performance are always part of the conversation. We approach every project with an eye on long-term performance as much as immediate impact. The Geelong region, Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast are remarkable places to live — our projects reflect a deep respect for that landscape.
